This is my first year at Compassion Road Academy (and in Denver), and it is my 11th year teaching. I have taught (mostly in the Portland, Oregon area) in comprehensive middle and high schools as well as charter, private, and alternative (Pathways equivalents) schools. Years ago in rural Iowa, I began with a goal of teaching AP Physics, but I have learned that communities like Compassion Road are exactly where I want to be, and goals like those we have here are exactly what I want to pursue.
I am a passionate science teacher, and I have used science to teach math, art, literature, and health classes. With degrees in Physics, Studio Art, and Education, I know life can be varied, and I want to help my students find and pursue their passions, whatever they might be.
