I grew up in Maine, graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, then lived in NYC for almost a decade. I then married my husband, moved to Colorado, went to graduate school at CU Denver for Secondary Science Education, had two children, and became a teacher. I have taught middle school science and math, high school science and math, almost every level of each, and then I landed here at CRA teaching my two favorite subjects to teach – Chemistry and Physics. In addition to studying and teaching science, I love the theater, movies, books, yoga, walking my dog, hiking, and spending time with my dear family and dear friends.
A great friend of mine who worked with me in the theatre in NYC claimed that acting is the marvelous detective story of the human spirit; and I feel the same way about teaching. I am teaching because I love learning and community, connecting with students, and helping each of them to find their own personal energy/spirit for their learning. Go CRA!!!
